Confederation College has announced a new partnership that will enhance opportunities for students across the province.
The college and Seneca Polytechnic are joining forces.
The start of the collaboration is focused on aviation-related programming, but the sides plan on exploring the potential for a veterinary technician program model for the region.
“This partnership with Seneca Polytechnic is a transformative milestone for Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario,” said Confederation College President, Michelle Salo. “By combining our strengths, we are not only strengthening our Aviation program but also exploring how a Veterinary Technician program could be delivered in our region. Our goal is to enhance education access and provide students with the skills needed to support local industries and community growth.”
The institutions will share faculty expertise, facilities, and resources to maximize program delivery and efficiencies while expanding education access for students.
The organizations are looking at new ways to offer their programs amid funding challenges.
The institutions will collaborate in evaluating new opportunities that respond to industry needs and workforce demands.
Additional details on program developments from both Seneca and Confederation will be announced in the coming months.
