More child care spaces will be soon available in Kenora.
The Kenora District Services Board and the Seven Generations Educations Institute have signed an agreement for 49 new spaces.
Seven Generations plans to renovate space at it’s school in Kenora to create a 5,474 square foot child care center.
There will be room for ten infant spaces, fifteen toddler spaces, and twenty-four preschool spaces.
Renovations are expected to be complete by the end of this year.
Seven Generations says the child care center will also act as a lab for students taking their early years education program.
Once complete the KDSB says there will be 277 new child care spaces created in the span of four years in Kenora.
