The Town of Ignace is getting ready to host its second Northwest Nuclear Exploration Event.
It will take place today and Saturday.
Mayor Kim Baigrie says they expect to have as many as 44 exhibitors and presentations.
“It’s for our community members and surrounding area for anyone to come in to get any information that they want,” explains Baigrie.
“Just basically, learn more. If they have questions, they can ask at any booth.”
Baigrie adds the idea is to give as much information as they can about the proposed nuclear waste repository.
“Basically to engage our community to get more involved, which is good. And then they have speakers and presentations, which are very informative.”
The Northwest Nuclear Exploration will take place at the Ignace Recreation Center from 10 till 8 Friday and 9 till 4 on Saturday.
Mayor Baigrie will be hosting a pancake breakfast Saturday morning.
