Cloud cover over much of northwestern Ontario could affect your ability to see the eclipse of the sun.
There won’t be a total eclipse in the region, but Thunder Bay and Dryden should see about 80 percent of the eclipse, and that will be down to about 60 percent in Kenora and Fort Frances.
The solar eclipse will last a couple of hours, starting just before 1 pm and ending shortly after 3 pm Central Time, or 2 pm to 4 pm Eastern Time.
This is the first solar eclipse in the region since 1979.
