A fire Thursday morning resulted in the complete loss of the North Spirit Lake First Nation Band Office.
Early Thursday morning the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service received a call for assistance at a structural fire.
When officers arrived they found fire coming from the community’s Band Office. While officers were at the Band Officer NAPS was alerted about another structural fire in the community.
Officers then traveled to the next fire and found an abandoned home engulfed in flames on Airport Road. The house was also a complete loss after the fire.
No injuries have been reported as a result of these fires.
The NAPS Crime Unit is currently investigating the fires.
